Charles Austin, Chief Executive Officer & President, Director
Mr. Austin, is a co-founder of the Company, is an officer and director of Central Asia Mining Corp. and of Bamet Resources Corp., both private companies focused on the acquisition and exploration of precious and base metals in Southeast and Central Asia. He is an active angel investor in sectors including real estate and alternative energy.
Peter Espig, Chief Financial Officer
Mr.Espig is experienced in the analysis of investment opportunities, raising capital, deal sourcing and financial structuring. Over the past five years, he has structured and raised capital for transactions in excess of US$2.0 billion.
Mr.Espig served as Vice-President of the Principal Finance and Securitization Group and Asia Special Situations Group for Goldman Sachs Japan. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Mr. Espig served as Vice-President of Olympus Capital, a New York private equity firm, where he participated in corporate restructurings, investment analysis and financing negotiations for both domestic and international investments. Mr. Espig currently serves on boards of both private and public companies.
He received his B.A. from the University of British Columbia and his MBA from Columbia Business School where he was a Chazen International Scholar.
Howard Louie, Director, Chairman
Howard Louie, a co-founder of the Company, has served as a founder, director and/or officer in leading the management team of several public companies over the past 20 years. At the executive management level, he has been involved in the process of restructuring and advising both private and public companies regarding mergers and acquisitions, capital and investment financing, and international business development, as well as joint-venture and market-penetration strategies.
Geoffrey Lee, Director
Mr. Lee is a co-founder of the Company. He is also an officer and director of Bamet Resources Corp. and Central Asia Mining Corp. both private companies focused on the acquisition and exploration of precious and base metals in Southeast and Central Asia. He is principal of Bellwether Investments Limited and has been a co-founder, officer and director of other TSXV listed companies.
Kent Ausburn, PhD., Director, Geologist
Mr. Ausburn is a senior exploration geologist and mining-entrepreneur with over 29 years of worldwide experience in the exploration/mining industry. He has been directly and peripherally involved in several significant ore deposit discoveries (Castle Mountain Gold Mine, Bullfrog Gold Mine, Morning Star Gold Mine, Tournigan Energy Ltd.) and has extensive exploration/development management experience in a wide variety of mineral deposits, rock types, and geologic environments throughout the world, including the Jahodna and Novoveska uranium deposits in Slovakia.
Arnold Armstrong, Advisory Board Member
Mr. Armstrong has practiced law for over 50 years and is a member of the Armstrong Simpson firm of independent lawyers. Mr. Armstrong and his family own Armada Investments Ltd., through which he had built a diverse portfolio of private and public company assets and businesses. He has held the positions of Chairman, President, CEO and / or Director of several successful mining and exploration companies, including being one of the founding directors of Silvercorp Metals Inc. (NYSE – SVM), which is currently China’s largest primary silver producer. Mr. Armstrong is also President and CEO of International Enexco, in which he has fostered joint ventures with Cameco and AREVA on the Mann Lake uranium property in the Athabasca Basin.
J. Allan McNutt, P.Geo Consultant – Project Evaluation
Allan McNutt is a senior exploration geologist with an extensive uranium-specific background and over 30 years of experience in resource sectors in Canada and the US. His expertise in project evaluation and exploration are a significant addition to Long Harbour. Mr. McNutt spent seven years with Saskatchewan Mining Development Corporation (now Cameco, TSX: CCO), where as Joint Venture Geologist, he was involved in the delineation of the Dawn Lake uranium deposits and the discovery of the Cigar Lake deposit.”
